FOLKLORE CURATOR AND ORAL HISTORY SPECIALIST TO PRESENT OVERVIEW OF NORTHERN UTAH SPEAKS. Randy Williams, folklore curator and oral history specialist at Utah State University, will provide an overview of Northern Utah Speaks, the oral history archives at the Merrill-Cazier Library, Friday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Logan LDS Tabernacle (50 North Main). read more

BREWER/CARD POETRY-WOODCUT EXHIBITION ON DISPLAY AT CAFÉ IBIS. Local coffee shop Cafe Ibis is exhibiting pages from "Small Scenes," a series of 20 poems by late Utah Poet Laureate Kenneth W. Brewer. The exhibit will run during the month of October 2007. Brewer, a former USU professor, collaborated with Utah artist Royden Card to make woodcuts to accompany the poems. read more

WEAVINGS OF WAR EXHIBIT OPEN.  The exhibit Weavings of War, Fabrics of Memory is now showing at the Thatcher-Young Mansion, 35. W. 100 S. in Logan.
